My 92 Z was in an accident and the exhaust was damaged. They are putting a new exhaust system on it, but factory. Will this new exhaust system give me better performance or different sound? Is there any pipes or tips that will give me a louder sound and allow for better flow?

About the only thing that will change your exhaust note is headers, a high-flow cat, or a perf. muffler. You should be able to get an after-market exhaust and have it put on while the car's being fixed. Your insurance company should be willing to reimberse you the cost of the OE system, or pay for the new one (usually cheaper than oe)
