I have an 88 Iroc 305 TPI. I am removing the smog stuff and need advice on the air plugs. I bought 1/4 pipe plugs, but they only go a few threads before they get hard to turn. I have seen on this board that I should use 1/4 flare plugs. Are these a different thread pitch than what I bought, if so where do I get the flares.

Someone please help. Bought brass today and same problem. Is there some special plug and where do you get them. This is the only thing holding me up now.
