just went to the track today for first time my best was 14.57. i'm disapointed. with all the money ive spent it not fast enough. educated friend said cat removal would improve time by.50. true or not? my cat is a flow thru type w/flowmaster and 3" pipe. opinions please!

no, removing your cat wont get you big gains like that unless yuor current one is clogged. If not, then if your lucky you might, might see a tenth.

Hm, your ET sucks for that kinda motor setup.

Try a cut-out before the cat.

1.6 rockers would probley help here. Your probley looking at a 350 HP combo. I'm wondering if it's like quick on accell ? What injectors, fuel pressure and spark plugs are you running ? With that grind it sould be really quick... The words custom grind cam shaft can be scary. Ported heads ? That thing should lift and twist the front end all up when your on it outta the hole. Lack of massive air flow. weak fuel pump. Wrong plugs. Wrong torque curve on the cam with too little a lift.

disapointed in lousy et's

Cat cutout sounds like an interesting idea Dan. Even if it isn't much gain it'll sound good! i'm still real new to this stuff, my 355 still has stock rockers -will adding 1.6 roller rockers add to my lift and increase accel? Also still has stock injectors, new stock in tank fuel pump w/holley afpr. have k&n's with baffles removed and 4-1.5" holes drilled in front of air box. fuel press is 48-52psi. Didn't notice much gain. What 1.6 rockers would you recomend? Summit? Crane? other? Thanks for the advice so far!
