i had my super comps installed this week... and the engine appears to be running very strong, the engine revs up extremely fast compared to the old manifolds.... so, i'm sure i got some horespower gains and the torque felt fine...

but.... i haven't been able to actually make a wot run because the freaking brake vacuum assist has been disconnected and i guess the hose is still at the shop...


to the point of this post--
the mechanic broke off some kind of switch or sensor of some sort and the local chevy dealer had no idea what part it is.....
this sensor/switch is located right below my passenger side header flange between the #6 and #8 cylinder... the part of it that is still connected is made of brass and it's about the same diameter as a quarter(25cents)

car is an '89 IROC with a 5speed tranny... person i bought it from said it had a 350 switched into it in place of the 305(i dunno if i believe that or not, but that may be a clue as to what this part is)

anybody have a clue what this is?
