For those who have a Hooker Cat-back System...
I got mine a little while ago and am wondering how the paint on the muffler is holding. It doesn't look like a high quality paint so I am thinking about stripping it and using some high gloss black ceramic paint on the whole system. Also, have any of you noticed rusting anywhere? Sure, its an aluminized system, but over time I have seen them rust away as well.
If you have some installed pics please post them. Thanks

I've had mine for over 4 years. It's gone through several winters with absolutley zero rust. Stills looks as good as the day I put it in, but with a little more dirt... This is not a Flowmaster, which would have rotted away by now

I've had mine for two years. The car is stored winters and doesn't usually get driven in the rain. The welds on the muffler have some surface rust but that's all. I'm going to repaint as you're suggesting.

My dad had to replace the exhaust on the 90 from a hooker catback to a flowmaster. After about 10 thousand miles a hole was in the muffler. Flowmaster has done well on all our cars.

I've had my Hooker cat-back for about a year and a half with no problems at all. The black paint on the muffler is a little faded but no rust or cracking. Being in Oregon, I drive in the rain all the time and the pipes look good with only small amounts of surface rust on the tailpipes.
I like the tips but mine are screwed up. When I had my car repainted, they got overspray all over them. I sanded them with real fine sand paper and then buffed them out. Looks OK but I think I'm going to replace with turndowns.

Ive had my hooker catback on for alittle while now and the muffler is fine. Ive had flows on there. One rusted pretty bad. My duals rusted bad but thats because they hit the ground ALOT. Scratched the **** out of them.
