Headers & serp. belt accessories- what about A/C support bracket bar?
On a 92 TBI engine I'm installing headers (Hooker shorties I got for free). It's got the serpentine belt system, obviously. There's currently a factory-stock accessory support bar that comes off the back of the aluminum A/C bracket to the exhaust manifold bolt on #4 cylinder (pass. side of engine). Should I just forget about this support bar or will doing that put too much strain on the aluminum A/C bracket and cause it to fail very quickly?
I'd have to make a spacer if I wanted to reuse this bar plus I have no idea if the stock support bar will clear the #2 header tube until I actually go to bolt it all together. So I'm trying to do some reasearch before I'm elbow-deep in it.
Thanks in advance.
