Where is your cut-out?
I'll be installing my headers soon, and figured I might as well through a cut-out on so I can be even more obnoxious and loud when I want. I was thinking of putting it right where my cat was, so I don't have to crawl very far under the car to get to it. My buddy with a '00 SS has his right before the exhaust goes over the rear-end. Is there any pros or cons to having it back there? I dont really want to cut into my SLP cat-back, so where should I put it? Also, any heads up/advice you can give to me for when I'm installing my headers? Anything special I have to do about getting rid of the emissions? What about the charcoal canister?
yeah definitely put it where the cat was, sounds like the easiest and best area to get to.
i would leave the charcoal (vapor canister) intact.
the only header decision is to have a.i.r tubes or not, and of coarse you need them to have the o2 sensor provision.
i went with slp non air headers, so i deleted the air pump, air hoses, and that black box. all is well after running for over a month.
