Question about exhaust sound....

Well, I had a custom catback made up for my car and it went together with out a hitch. the only thing was a few small holes in the welds where exhaust was leaking through. Sealed the couple I found, but here is my problem. To me anyway, it sounds like I get a deep, great sounding not out of the drivers side tip, and a more garbled crap sounding note out of the pass side tip. Anyone have this problem? I never noticd this with the crossflow on my old 86. Is something damaged? More exhaust leaks? Just the design, with more sound coming out one side? Thanks fellas

my car has the hooker cat-back....so it has the 3" intermediate pipe to the muffler then the 2 2.5" pipes coming back....

I have a highflow cat with a 3" int pipe, to a flowmaster 80 series, to 3" tailpipes to 3.5" slashcuts. Its weird, people told me that one would always be louder than the other, but I never noticed this in a similar setup on my old 86. Now I do and its not that big of a deal, but it just sounds better out of one tip.
