Need help building an abreviated exhaust

Well, the fuel pump is done and was a major PITA. I had to cut the muffler off - I cut it where it runs up before the axle. I tried to couple it back together, but it doesn't fit well.

The exhaust is crappy anyway. Someone welded 2.25" pipe into the Y pipe and ran it all the way back. I want to use bigger pipe and not curve over the axle. I also don't want to be stock car loud. Any ideas on pipe routing and mufflers/glass-packs? Thanks

If you want loud you can cut it off at the y-pipe and mount a muffler where the cat would be. If you wanted to do better though I would reccomend a set of Hedman shorties and the corresponding y-pipe then going to a 3" catback system of your choice.

It was a dual cat. I was thinking of putting little cherry bombs where the cats were, but that's a lot of work. I was also thinking of hanging a big cherry bomb off of the Y pipe with a turndown, but that might get annoying with the turndown directly under the cabin.
