Noisy Headers
I have Edelbrock headers and Y-pipe on my car. They seem to make a lot of noise, like a pinging sound. It seems to come more from the passenger side. I took to a muffler shop, and he couldn't find any signs of leaks. He said it was because of the sharp bends in the pipes. Does this make sense? Does anyone elses headers make a pinging sound? Any suggestions on making them quiter?

Yes. Thin metal can't insulate all the noise.
Header wrap or ceramic coating will help.

Thats headers for you. They are made of thin steel tubes instead of 1/2" thick cast iron. Its louder only because the metal tubes are ALOT thinner than the cast iron manifolds.
As for "louder because of sharp bends"....
