just wondering something i had a flowmaster muffler on my v6 firebird and want to put it on my 350 camaro. with the muffler being on the v6 for around a year would it have a bad tone if i put it on my 350? i would think no but my friend took his flowmaster off his v4 cavalier and put it on his v6 z24 and it dont sound to good, pops alot and it sounded meaning on his 2.2 then it does on his 3.1.

 

A muffler can't "get used to" a particular engine. If it is the correct one for the V8 (40 series pref) then it will work. Your friends muffler for the 2.2 is totally different than the one that goes on the 6 cyl.
