i need help on completing my exhaust
i just got my hedman street long tubes in today so im getting ready to put them in. i really need some ideas on how to run the rest of my exhaust. i want to keep it dualed so that means no y-pipe. i want it to sound good and loud but not as loud as it is now, manifolds and y-pipe. whatever i use, i need it close to the car as poss. cuz ground clearance is an issue. is the best way running the tubes close to the drive shaft? i have a friend who is a welder so im not worried about the custom work. i just need to know where to run it and what to use. pics would be great. thanks
you have 2 choices.... run them straight back .. but you will have to use oval tubing if you are worried about clearance... and the best way that I've seen is to get some sort of CUSTOM header collecter, one from each header, that remain seperate.. BUT follow the path of the old exhaust, off to the side.. and then just turn them out to the seperate sides in the back

Grab some Hedman Universal X-tensions in 2.5" size (that's the largest they make unfortunately), bolt those onto the headers to bring the pipe down the driveshaft tunnel, then use a set of 4" round mufflers like bullets or spiral flows. That should be plenty loud for your liking.
