Emissions and exhaust leaks...
I recently put an LT1 into my car. I left all air tubes disconnected (I'll connect them eventually, but since I don't have emissions here...) Also, and this is a BIG one, the AIR tube from my cat is broken in several places (Yes, the metal line is broken in several places. ) I know i have an exhaust leak...the idiots at meinake seem to think its at the headers because one bolt isn't in it (Damned thing wouldn't go in, so I tightened the other ones down a little more than normal) I really can't see one bolt causing the system not to hold pressure at all.
Also, does anyone know what kind of gaskets to use on an SLP Header Collector and the Y-Pipe? The person I talked to at SLP wasn't a help at all. Right now the y-pipe is connected w/o a gasket, and I think that could be the biggest source for the leak.
Thanks
Corry
