Headers not fitting!!

I got some Heddman Hedders and tried installing them and had a problem with the passenger side header fitting. I got the header in the place but could not get them to straighten up to be able to bolt on. I think the ac box was in the way, anyone else have a problem like this??

yes... you will have a problem like that... I did, heddman headers are slightly wider than edelbrock or hooker... but there should be a hose, coming from the radiator, that connects to a steel pipe that runs right under and to the right of the a/c box,... that needs to be moved to the left about 1 inch or maybe 2... there is a bracket that bolts this to the frame rail... take the bolt off... you should then be able to push the pipe/hose over to the left... UNDER the edge of the a/c box, and use a coat hanger, or a metal clamp and hold it there (something that WON'T melt)... after you move the pipe over.. you should have about 1/4 inch of clearance between the header and the a/c box... and 1/4-1/2 inch clearance between the frame rail and the header.. from there you slip it in from the top front ... sort of caddy corner to the engine, and just wiggle it, and move it around until it fits in
Good luck, and if you don't understand what I'm saying, e-mail me and I'll send you some pics of mine (I just did it 2 weeks ago)
