How much do you think I can drop my et with my new setup?
I currently have a completely stock 1992 Camaro RS with the 305 tbi. The stock exhaust has the log manifolds with non bandrel bent pipes which have an OD of 2 1/4 inches I believe. I just recently purchased Hooker 2055 headers which will be jet hot coated, MAC offroad pipe, flowtech 3 inch cutout with qtec electric cutout and flowmaster catback. How much do you think I will be able to drop my et's?

assuming the car runs 16.80's (most lo3's) then you may pic up about .5-.8 seconds. expect mid/low 16's. i would consider a cam swap and induction swap ( either ultimate tbi mods/tpi/carb) to see a real gain cause that what's choking you down after your exhaust is replaced.
Bone stock the car ran 16.3, which could have been improved upon further with more track time, but I was only able to get 2 runs in and I didnt have enough time to do what I wanted.

ok, yeah, expect probably a 15.8 then. the lo3's around here must be pretty ragged out cause they are pulling v6 times.

I dropped .5 seconds off my et and gained almost 4 mph from my first run to my second run if that says anything. BTW, the car is BONE STOCK right down to the paper filter. Yes, I would say the L03's in your area are pieces of crap. I would consider my 100k+ mile L03 to be in good shape though. Joined: Jun 2002

well, good luck to ya! i hope that you replace that paper element when you do your exhaust as it goes in the *every-little-bit-helps* category!
