I think the only ones for thirdgens are long tube and shorty. Shorty is just a manifold design that has been enhanced. It is rather short but it has seperate tubes for each exhuast chamber which allows for better flow and less turbulance from the head but they have short runners(hence the name) and don't allow for a long range of unrescricted flow. Long tubes are about the same, 1 tube for each exhaust chamber, but they are extended all the way under the car to allow for a long range of flow and more velocity, and less restriction. Long tubes will give a higher performance gain over shorties but shorties are easier to install. That is about the extent of my knowledge on headers..hope this helped some.

I want something with a nice sound to it. It sounds like the long tupes would be better for that, is that true? Which ones give you more power?

Lontubes are definately the way to go if you din`t have to worry about emmisions.

Actually if you talk to a tech at holley they tell you not to run longtubes on street driven cars because it looses to much ground clearance.. that's what made me decide on the 2460's instead of longtubes.

What's a CAT.... ....gotta love Florida
Lt's won't take away ground clearance anymore than a poorly hung exhaust, they are definitely the way to go.

Just take it easy with the car and you shouldn't have any problems with ground clearance.. Avoid speed bumps religiously, and don't go off-roading.. That includes grass!

Hedman Longtubes don't hurt ground clearance at all. If you run the exhaust right you shouldn't have a problem. I'm thinking about running them again. Not sure yet.

I had longtubes, true duals, no cats...omg hedman LT's, h pipe, and 2 chambers flows is LOUD
