Hi,
Does anybody know how much power I gain with the Hooker cat-bac system for my 85 TA lg4?
Can I combine it with headders?
any suggestion on suitable headders?
Will the stock converter negate the power gains from the headdders/cat-back or can I keep it?

You will probably see 8 to 10hp with just the cat-back. Headers and a high flow cat will yeild another 15 or so. If you get headers and the hooker cat back your stock cat will be the weak link. You really want to get a full 3" from the y-pipe back. The best way to do this is to buy headers and cat and catback all at once. Buy the TPI systems so that they do not come with the reducers to connect to your smaller stock set-up. If money does not permit this, than buy the cat-back specific for your car and later on when you upgrade to a bigger cat you can cut off the reducers and connect it to your bigger ypipe.

Get the TPI 3'' exhaust. It will yield more power gains and give you better sound. I have the edelbrock TES headers with the 3'' single y pipe, and a 3'' hooker catback. Sounds good on my 350. It would be plenty of flow for your lg4 also. I have no cat though. If you don't have emissions...i wouldnt use a cat...
