From V6 to V8 exhaust

I am helping out a buddy with his engine swap from a 2.8 to a 5.0. My question is, will the Y-pipe from the V6 setup work with the V-8? The exhaust system is only a year old and it would be a shame if we'd have to start replacing parts of it. Thanks

It isn't necessary to replace some parts of the V6 exhaust. You have to replace all of it.

Engine: Internal Combustion
Transmission: Completed
Axle/Gears: ones that turn.
The cat-back might be sufficient for a stock 305, but the y-pipe will need changed.

Thanks guys, I wasn't sure if the y-pipe was the same.
