'88 IROC 350 - 3" in or 2.5" in stock muffler???
Hey guys, quick question:
To replace a stock muffler, I want to know if the stock setup in my '88 Iroc 350 is a 3"in and dual 2.5" out or is it 2.5" in and dual 2.5" out?
I have seen both listed in magazines and such.
Thanks.

I think its 2.5 in/out but I think I read that some came with a 3 in/2.5 out but im not sure either way a muffler shop should be able to weld it up for you

According to the 1987 MVMA (Motor Vehicles Manufacturing Association) Specifications Form for a Camaro, the stock intermediate pipe is 2.75" in diameter. The tailpipes are 2.25" in diameter. So go with the 3-inch inlet and 2.5-inch outlet muffler.
