Do you have any kind of emissions testing? The cat will work better with a functioning A.I.R. system.

I hope you realize you're going to have to have a y-pipe fabricated, or your current one modified. The factory pipe won't connect to the headers outlets.

I'd recommend 2-1/2" down-pipes joined with a 3" pipe going to the cat, a 3" TPI-type direct-fit cat & cat-back. This will support you well into any mods you can make to an LO3 engine.

I was thinking about something like this... you can try it out. Its basicly a 4 bolt flange mounted on both sides of the cat, and then a matching flange for teh y pipe and I pipe... then you can unbolt the cat whenever and bolt in the cut out.

(dont knock the MSpaint skills.. you know you love it!)

Doesn't NY use california emissions now?? I know mass does.

Anyway, I researched the 2460 y-pipe deal. It's gonna be a bunch of 45's basicly, and then a 90, and 45 after teh y-collector.

I did a post on all the parts needed to make it up.. Modifying a SS y-pipe would be a bad idea..

The 2460 is a decent header, but because of the thicker gauge material it makes it not much larger than the Flowtech's.. And with the Jet-hot you just added .010 to it's ID (the recommended tickness of ceramic coating) ..
