Heated 02 sensor

Just finished my exhaust upgrade:

jet hot coated slp 1 3/4" headers

dual 2 1/2" converters

3" intermediate and over-axle pipes

flowmaster 3" in, dual 2 1/2" out muffler.

As I feared, it's not running right. I've read of others on this board who had the same problem .. their exhaust was too "free flowing" and the o2 sensor no longer worked properly.

I believe this is caused by the exhaust gasses flowing past the sensor so fast it doesn't get enough heat.

I want to go to a heated o2 sensor to correct the problem.

what brand/part number would be the best heated (3-wire) oxygen sensor? Where do the additional wires hook up? simple power and ground?

most O2 sensors are all the same (when talking about non wideband sensors). especialy when dealing only with all 4 wire sensors, or all 3 wire sensors. The main difference between the sensors are the wire lengths and connector. Just about any sensor u can get yours hands on will work, they all fit the same size and send the same information. You can get a universal O2 sensor for about $50 at autozone. I got mine from GMPartsdirect.com for like $60 i think. Dont' remember the number but ill try to find it.
