Dual Tail

I currently have an 86 V6 My dad is making me get a muffler, and I really want a Dual Tail Setup... Something that makes it pretty throaty for what it is. Any ideas of something that is not very expensive?

if you want a replacement muffler, just go buy an aerochamber or flowmaster or dynomax for $50-100. Then grab some elbows and tips. If you need a catback, get a catback.

cat back is the pipe that goes from the cat to the muffler isnt it? dont need one, I have all that, just no muffler

Those would make em throaty? I dont want a stock one that is very quiet... I dont wanna be loud, just want it to sound really beasty to ricers even though I dont have a V8 yet

I have a 1991 Cavalier Z24 with a full custom Flowmaster system on a 3.1.... It sounds badass but it's really loud around 2500 rpm.

If you have a cat (which i don't) a Flowmaster 40 series Deltaflow would sound great and not be too loud. but you could always go with an 80 series Cross-flow. it would be loud but not that loud and the 60* V6 sounds great with a good muffler behind it.

My Z24 strikes fear in the hearts of ricers.... 15.9 with shaved heads, intake/exhaust and a full stereo system and a cooler full of beer in the trunk.....

here is a clip of my Z:

that's a 40 series where the cat used to be, and 2.25 all the way back split into duals. that's a side shot of the sound, at the back it sounds deeper.

the 40 series is a single in/single out. but the 80 series is the single in/dual out muff for the F-bodies.

www.flowmastermufflers.com

If your just lookin for a cheep muffler that sounds ok, check Ebay. there is always pretty good deals on immitation Flowmasters and other cross-flow mufflers on there.

I've used the V-force which is a flowmaster 40 series clone and it is a great repro. Sounds great and is built to last.

the muff shop should bend them for you for about 30 bucks depending on the place. I'd do some calling around, just tell them that you have your own muffler, you just need it installed.

Shouldn't be too much $$$

I weld and all that, I just need tails, lol. I have a clip of the sound, thats a video. The mic couldnt really handle the loudness of it, so it crackly. Sorry my stupid friend stuck his hand in the shot, I couldnt really do much about it as we uploaded it after he left.

http://s89706284.onlinehome.us/exhaust.avi It might make you save it to desktop or something temporaliy because when i try to just open it, it says it cannot play, but temp save it will... Edit: I just tried it and i worked, so I dunno, lol

Pretty beasty for a 2.8 if I do say so myself
