Flowtech header ??

Im looking to get headers real soon, and Iwas looking at the flowtech's since they are a reasonable price and should be more than enough for my 305.

Im having a problem thow. there are 2 diffrent part #'s for them and I cant figure out the diffrence other than one set comes with the y-pipe.

can anyone tell me the diffrence between thses 2?

BIG-16102 and BIG-11102

that's probably it. just that extra Y pipe. I'm using Flowtechs right now. they seem to be of semi-good quality. I have a set of Hooker long tubes but i'm too lazy to put them on.

Those 16102's look like the direct bolt on with the y-pipe, and the other ones are more of a standard shorty small block header that both dump to the back.

My cousin got those 11102's for his G-Body Monte SS and he need to get a new y-pipe fabricated.

They are not bad headers, but you also get what you paid for.
Great if replacing the manifolds on an LG4, but there are better ones out there. However the better ones come with a higher price tag.

I have the set with the y-pipe on my LG4 and they went on in snap. I am happy with them.

edit: if you get them I'd suggest the ones with the y-pipe, unless you want to get a shop to make you a new y-pipe.

the 11102's have a y pipe also, it is just sold seperatly for $89.95, which is actulay cheaper than buying the 16102 header y-pipe combo for $210.

so if Im right what it comes down to is $89.95+$89.95=$179.90 vs $210 for the exact same thing.

Also since I have the LO3 Im figuring these will be a great improvement over the stock manifolds.

if they do that to me then ill dent them with some heat i dont care

so better off getting Y pipe for either set of headers and going with single pipe ?

what did you guys do about the stock single pipe from cat exit back ? get a cat back kit or have shop run a cutom little larger pipe ?

thanks
