I've got two of them on the '57.

Loud but tolerable at idle. Under power, pretty much like there's no muffler.

To a law enforcement officer in a strict noise-ordinance area, like you don't have any mufflers. To the neighbors at 6:30 a.m., like you're an obnoxious a-hole.

A pair of Summit Turbos are going on this winter so I can drive it on the street to the track without worrying about who's around the next corner, or if I go some rounds, that the neighbors aren't looking out the window at 11:30 p.m. Friday nights glaring at me as I pull up the driveway incline.

I had a set on mine. It was with 3" duals & the muffs were at the rear bumper. It was extremely loud & obnoxious. I went to Spintech Pro Streets & it sounds way better.

well im not sure if i want obnoxiously loud, i want a loud thunderous roar. something that when im at full throttle, everyone is like ...... breathless and when at idle or driving normally it is a very nice rumble. i do plan on getting heads, a cam, and headers too so if anyone knows of a muffler that will sound like i described above w/ or w/out these added mods then please post something.

I have the dynomax Ultraflow muffler. It isn't the bullet one, but it is 3" center in and 3" center out (basically a straight pipe with a muffler wrapped around it to make it look like a muffer). It is only 14" long and it sounds AWESOME!! It is pretty damn loud under acceleration and it has an awesome rumble at idle. I thought it would be too loud, but after driving with it for a few months, it is definatley perfect. I have driven by cops with it and they look, but no chase. I highly reccomend it. If you want the part number, let me know. I am trying to get a sound clip posted. Pretty soon.
