What length header bolts is eveyone using with SLP headers? I know on the bolts with the offset I have to use the stock bolts but what about the others? I bought some 1" bolts and them seem to short with the gaskets. I did a search but cant find anything....heres a picture of the 1" bolts going thru the flange and the gasket, doesnt look like enough to thread, or is it just me?

 

i am using the one that came with the install kit.

Bolts, Header 3/8" - 16 by 1"

and using the rest of the stock stud type bolts.

 

so the 1" bolts were plenty long enough? from what I measured only about 3/8th would be going into the head, is that plenty to use?

The bolts that your using are the exact same bolts I got. The 12 point bolts....so you had to have had the same amount going into the block, huh? and that was enough to get a good grab and torque them down?

I may go back and get 1" 1/4 cause I was going to put a lock washer on the bolts too.

 

i guess they were enough, i mean nothing stripped on my heads, and the headers went down tight. i dont have any leaks that i can tell.
