well i plan on getting it done in one day... i am removeing the original exhaust all the way back to the flowmaster muffler... as long as i don't twist any bolts off i think i will be alright... i'm going to have a 3" pipe welded up on wed. so i will only drive it home and then to the muffler shop..so do you have any advice besides "it is going to be a bitch" thanks for the input though...

Yea don't get discouraged. It is well within reach of the novice mechanic for a really long day of work. You will get stumped at times but you need to take a deep breath and approach it from a different anlge. You will get them in. Just getting the locking tabs off of the old manifolds is the hardest part. After the stock stuff is out you will be home free.

well i took my exhaust manifolds, y pipe, and cat off and installed my headers last week and i believe it took me somewhere around 3 hours total. It wasnt too hard for the headers, i just havent found a way to get the hedman y pipe on.

It took me only 2 days to do my hooker long tubes with mufflex y pipe. if you take your time and dont get pissed off, ull get it done. the hardest part is gettin your old stuff out. lucky for me my manifolds and ypipe came out in less then 45 mins and the driverside headers was in in about an hour.
well im done with the install...7 hours non stop...did alot of cursing, and gave a little blood. my saving grace was a cut off wheel..learned a hard lesson.. checked three times to make sure no wires were laying on the headers....... but did not check for what the header were laying on.... after about 3 miles car died... the battery wire "in the factory position" was burned to the header and burned the positive terminal out of my battery, so........ no i am installing the new battery and positive cable i just bought..... everyone was right taking the old stuff off is the hard part....and passenger side is more difficult than the drivers side..... if any one has any questions just let me know... trust me it is fresh on my mind..... peace im out
