just to make sure post the code you are getting?

the way it sounds is that u found what the code is and tried to fix it.

so i guess maybe it has to be the connection or the wire if it is the o2 sensor code ur getting.

I hooked up our schools little handheld thing we use and didn't get any trouble codes. It said I may need a TPI adapter cable so it may not have read correctly.

When I had the handheld connected and the car running the light wasn't on. But when I took the car back to the parking lot it was on. WTF?

You don't need a scan tool. Just use a paper clip to jump the upper right 2 terminals with the engine off. The check engine light will flash your code.

I did the jumper thing. It flashed once paused and flashed twice.

So it went *bling* pause, *bling-bling* long pause and repeated itself? If so, that's the normal Code 12, it suposed to do that three times, then flash whatever else is messed up, three times, then it goes back to flashing 12 again, three times. If all it does is flash 12 at you all day long, then that's it, no trouble codes anymore.
