header question

header question

I plan on installing a set of flowtech shorties and apon looking it over ive realized this..

The stock manifolds have studs with nuts on them where the headers come with bolts??? This means i hafta not only remove the nuts but pull the studs too? im confused...
maybe im going about this wrong..

anyone wanna help me out here? lol

Are you sure it is a stud and not just a bolt with a stud on the end of it attached to something else. Every bolt came out on my manifolds when I took them off and I remember some of them having a stud on the end to attached to various things.

i hope so..it was getting late last night but i could have sworn that it was a nut threaded down on a stud...

and not for an accessory either, only the alt and ac seem to have that support thing..ima go look again before i take my center console out..

maybe i looked to fast..lol

Yea you are right, but don't fear. I just took a pic really quick of what came out of my stock manifolds. There is a whole slew of wierd things. The studs will come out with the rigth deep socket so dn't worry. I only had basic tools and I got them out. Your biggest problem will be the locking tabs that you see on the far left bolt in the pic. They are the devil.
