With risk of repeating a topic......

Have 87 IROC with original exhaust. Pipe between cat and resonator has patch, so its time is limited. May as well do cat and resonator too because of system age.

I've heard all of the sounds in TGO sounds section. The 89 IROC-Z clip sounds most like my car. A fun sound until highway cruising at 55+ mph, then gets to be a bit much. But maybe that high end noise is due to possible leak around cat. Don't know. Haven't had car long enough, or heard anyone elses to know.

Want to maintain original look and sound as much possible, while removing some of the loudness at highway speeds.

The next sound on TGO is the Flowmaster. It seems much less agressive than stock. Yet is seems to me to be closest to stock of the sounds presented. Is that true? Is your Flowmaster system a lot quieter/different than your stock system?

Anyone out there with ideas or experience about getting the desired sound?

Anyone know what the inside of the factory resonator looks like, or have pictures of one cut open?

Please help.
