Muffler help
Muffler help
I need to replace my muffler and want to get one with the same kind of fittings as the one pictured below. The inlet and outlets are all flared in a "bell" kind of shape with a 2 bolt loose flange on each one. Does anyone know of a company that sells one like this, or can a muffler shop make these flares for me? Thanks for your help.

What system do you have on yur car now that has that set-up on it. Any good exhaust shop should be able to flare the endss like that. If they can't do it you can always go with a slip fit system that is just as good. I don't think you will find many mufflers that have that type of flange.

Flowmaster makes those types of fittings, but you would have to cut them and weld them in. And, oh, they cost too much for what you are trying to do, well, I don't think they would be worth it. They are really made to make better header collector connections.
Found out what I have. Here is the link. http://www.macperformance.com/store/...tegory_ID=566. Does anyone know of a place in Calgary Alberta that may sell these?
