mufflers
hey guys i got a quick question
i am getting flowtech headers and i need a muffler bad. my car basically doesn't have a muffler left to it. i was thinking about a ravin muffler. but i thought about it alot and i really would like my car to be kinda quiet. how big of a difference in hp is an aftermarket muffler such as ravin, flowmaster, hooker going to be against a stock muffler?

305
ported 305tpi heads
lt1 cam
edelbrock performer tbi intake
flowtech headers nad y pipe into 3 inch pipe
thats what i have so far but if i don't get a cat back it's just gonna go into 2.50 pipe into the muffler unles i'm going to see a big gain.

2.5" is a bit small. You'd be better off with even the 2.75" of factory TPI. Most aftermarkets go straight up to 3", though.
I haven't heard them directly (that I'm aware, anyway), but word is Dynomax is quieter than most. I'd think the Ravin would be close to stock as far as loudness, too.
