Smog Removal

There is a post under the tech articles that shows how to remove smog pump with only re-routing your belt. You will need a different size belt. I just made that change this weekend. I bought a pulley from TA Creations for $50.00 plus $26.00 for the belt. The entire job took 15 minutes and the power is very noticable. Anyway 10 minutes after I clicked buy now I found the thirdgen.org article on how to do the same thing for the cost of a belt and a different pattern. Good Luck

No they are different set-ups. Go over to www.camaroz28.com and search about air pump and egr removal. They will tell you the correct way to do it.

I just checked and got a lot of results. Just go to camaroz28.com and go into the message boards. Click on search and type in 'air pump removal." I got about 10 hits on my frist try. Then try the same thing only about EGR removal, or whatever you want off of the front accessories.

Could you post pics and supply details on how and what parts to remove when eliminating the AIR pump.

Thanks in advance.

For LT1 accessory brackets or 3rd gen serpentine set-up? A search will find you some great results with pictures.
