I have an 85 stock z-28, 305 (newly overhauled) and 700r-4 tranny. Question for u leaders of the pack:
what headers are good (and fairly priced), and what muffler is good: i was told a glass pack, or a superturbo (dynomax), but i heard an SLP loudmouth and dam it was cool? are loudmouths like chambered exhausts and if so are they worth the price??
last thing what does it mean to gut ur airbox?

i got headman headers for like $309 i think with a big y pipe and A.I.R. system hookups, and for exhaust i got flowmaster American Thunder system which has a 3 inch intermediate piple and a nice muffler and i took the cat off...hope that helps

 

I would read over this and try a seach on a few brand names. That should point you in the right direction.
