Hooker LT's
OK I just ordered my 2210's from Jet Hot but I have a few questions. I have read all the sticky's and Traxion's write up on istallation but i need a little more help here.
1-They said they do not come with the reducers...Where should I look to get them?? Is Jegs or Summit the best route?
2-Is there a place allready on the driver side for teh knock sensor to be moved to? I looked and could not see anything.
3- I have read that you dont want to have new coated headers on a engine during break in time...is this true?
I know allot of questions, I have been in Iraq for a year and I am trying to do allot of catching up. Thanks for any help.

1) You can buy collector reducers in just about any parts store
2) Couldnt help ya there
3) Thats the second time on here I've read that ...its BS. Why would a motor thats being broken in operate any differently than a old raggity motor?
also better make sure you gotta a mini-starter and a grinder.

Just my own take on the Hooker Lt's just so you know I had to absolutely no grinding at all to my car to get them to fit. SO not everyone needs them.
On the drivers side there will be a little plug in the block right above the oil pan. Careful they tend to stripJust pop that out and put that on the other side and put the knock sensor in the drivers side. Be ready for antifreeze though as both teh knock sensor and the plug are drain plugs for the block so you WILL get antifreeze. I suggest you drain the radiator as much as you can first then do the block drains. Good Luck.

Sorry guys, but there is a break in period for a new cam and lifters, and the headers will absolutely glow red when you run in the new cam for about the first 3 minutes of running. I'm not sure if this is true of roller cams, I've never broken one in before, but it will toast any coating you have on your headers. Anybody know if roller cams do or do not glow when breaking in?
Thanks

Your headers should NEVER glow red ANYTIME even during breakin. If they do your timing is probably waaay off. And yes, roller cams do not require a break-in because there is nothing to break in ...No non-moving parts are touching each other.
