emergency! installing hooker 2460

I have got the header bolts in loose, driver side was easy. passenger side is not, the header hits the bell housing edge, where the bolts goes on the tourqe converter cover. the header bolts are loose, but when i tigthen them, it will only get worse. it also touches on the metal coolant line running along the frame under the ac canister. has anyone else encountered this?

also, what do ya do about the sparkplug wires. i need specific lengths, is there any designed for this. also, what do ya do for brackets so the wires don't touch?

PLEASE HELP, AND SEND PICS

for the header hitting the bell housing you could use a torch and heat it up and dent it alittle just enough to have it clear it. But BEFORE you do that you want to remove the coolant lines that go to your heater core. All you have to do is get some heater hose and run it where the lines use to go and then clamp it on. When i put my headers on i ran into the same problem. my header hit the bell housing with the bolts in it. But when i saw that the header was hitting the coolant lines i removed it and the header then cleared the bellhousing. as for plug wires i needed 90 degree boots. They sell kits that have wires at all the same length and you cut them down to size then clamp down the metal connector and then put the boots on. Its alittle pain but worth it in the end.
Oh as for brackets i just used wire looms they should come with the plug wire set if not just tell the parts guy you need the looms for 8mm or whatever size spark plug wires.

Something doesn't sound right with the headers. I've never heard of anyone having fit problems with 2460's.

For plug wires & looms: Get a set of wires with 90 degree boots that you cut to length. I got Made 4 U centerbolt looms. It took some time to mount and route all the wires, but this is the cleanest installation I've ever had.
