Replace AIR hoses

Can I just use regular heater hose to replace my AIR rubber hoses? If not, then what type of hose will work? I am just worried about the exhaust temps melting them.

I used heater hose on one side back in November. Hasn't melted yet. But, I haven't gone through a summer with it yet, either.

The check valve nipples shouldn't get up to exhaust temp. If they do, something's wrong.
