1985 Iroc-z Flowmaster 80 Series Question
I own a 85 iroc-z with a stock exhaust and I came across an add for a flowmaster 80 series muffler exhaust system. It has a 2.5" inlet with dual 2.5" outlets. It comes with 2.5" aluminized tail pipes and 3 clamps. Will this fit my 85 iroc-z?? Also is $94.00 for this sytem a good deal? Thanks guys.

Welcome aboard.
It will fit the car, the only question is whether it will bolt to your cat. The most likely answer there is "no". '85 was a weird year, so some fabrication to connect the cat will probably be required.
Well, there is one other question: Do you really want a 2.5" system? The dual 2.5" outlets are fine, but the 2.5" inlet is a little too small.
You might want to wait and spend your money on a 3" system.

Thank you for answering my questions. I have another one if you can be so kind to answer. I'm not sure if I have a 3" inlet or if it is a 2.5" inlet ?? I know it hasnt been messed with so I was just asking because if it was a 2.5" inlet I would just go ahead and buy it. If its 3" then I wont. Thank you much.

It's hard to say on the size. From what I understand, the mid 80's camaros had a few different sized pipe from the cat to the muffler. Could be 2.5, 2.75, or it could be 3. Something tells me that they didn't start using 3 until later years but I may be full of crap too. The only way to be sure would be to unbolt the exhaust from the cat and grab your trusty ol tape measure and take a look.

I thought that it sounded decent and performed good. I had no problems with my Flowmaster system at all. Going to either a Raven or GMMG next though just to do something different.
