I-pipe question, suggestions needed
I have a '85 TA with a 305TPI. The enire system from the cat back, is rusting out and needs replacing. I dont have money for a cat-back, and I dont think I have enough time to save up money.
The biggest problem I am goin to have is replacing the I-pipe. Has anyone here done it?
What is involved, how did you do it, and how hard was it?
I only have maybe 200 to spend.
Any ideas, or suggestions?
Thanks,
Matt

You can get an entire Dynomax catback system for under $200 or go to their site and you can buy just the I-pipe. The issue will be if the existing I-pipe is welded on or not. If not you should be good to go, if it is, you might need to take it to a muffler shop to get it off and new one welded on. Good luck.

Thanks and I hope the info helps. Dynomax is pretty good about listing every system piece by piece for our cars. I also have a Banks owner's manual in PDF format that lists all the parts and product numbers, but you have to know which system you need since its doesn't list them by year/car/engine, just system number. PM me and I will email it to you.
