Will SLP Tri-Y's fit on LT1?

Will SLP 1 5/8" Tri-Y headers fit over the LT1's exhaust ports? Also, are the tri-Y's a good header design?

Physically they will bolt on and work, but I know the LT1 heads have a raised exhaust port. That may or may not interfere with the header port. That's something you'll have to trial fit, unless someone else on here has done it.

In the recent GHTP mag they are covering an LT1 swap into a 3rd gen. They showed that the SLP 1 3/4" primary size covers the port completely. Anything less has a little shrouding but can be helped with a little grinding. You may want to send z28*****, pasky or texaslt1 a PM. They are the LT1 swap kings.

My regular SLP 4-1's cover / covered the port completely, I compared this long long long ago when i first got them back in 2000 or maybe 01, doubt the tri Y's are different, but the easiest way is to get ahold of them and just place a LT1 exhaust manifold gasket on there, simple and show ya what you want.

I have a bud with a ZZ3 and the old 1-5/8" tri-y's. He's never installed them because he wants to clean up the flanges so they clear the ports (he's got physical limitations which have prevented getting to it thus far).

Oh, they "look" like a good design.
