Another headers question
I've read and searched and managed to confuse myself completly. I've got a 1990 formula, 305 tbi, dynomax dual catback 3" exhaust and wanted to put on some headers for some more torque. I know I want shorty headers with 1 5/8 primaries as I'm not swapping in a 350 but thats about all I can figure out. I know there isn't a "best" header, I just need to know what will work for me. I do have to worry about emissions but no visual inspection. If you know part numbers of headers that would work I'd really appreciate them so I can make an attempt to compare them. Thanks in advance.

Thanks, I read that a few times and I think I'm starting to get it. Does the fact that I have 2 cats instead of just 1 make a difference when it comes to headers tho?

Makes a difference with the y-pipe, and y-pipes only fit the headers made by the same manufacuturer.
The only dual-cat header systems available of which I'm aware are SLP, Edelbrock TES, and Hedman. If I had dual cats, I'd go with the Hedmans.
