Maxed out TES.. suggestions??

Ok, running a custom cam, ported heads.. see my thread

here

now this setup has run over 400hp to the wheels in various cars.. given the data gathered and informative conversations with the tuner... it was obvious that the car is choked at the headers..

I buit this car to be daily driven, not grinding over speed bumps.. what would be a better flowing replacement? Hooker 2055? SLP 1 3/4 ? is there a company that actually makes a good long tube and y-pipe for us?

headers are an area of knowledge I am lacking on for these cars..

Thanks in advance!!

"Daily driver" and "speed bumps" go together, IMO. What exactly are you looking for - performance at the expense of ground clearance, best performance with ground clearance, what?

Which TES do you have now?

I have the tpi TES with the bigger y-pipe..

I am looking for options, people that may of had TES and switched and gained power with something else.. If hooker 2055 is worth the $ to switch, or the slp 1 3/4..

I am not looking to grind over everything, the conversion crossmember for the t56 hangs low enough.. from what I understand longtube options are slim for thirdgens but I wasn't sure if there was something out there that I didn't know about..

Best performance with clearance..

I would think the SLP 1-3/4" would provide the best port coverage. If you were willing to weld around the flange/primaries of the 2055's and port match them (or at least open them up so there isn't any port blockage), their y-pipe might make them the preferred choice.

So the hooker 2055 actually has a better y-pipe than even the SLP 1 3/4??

I've got the 2055's, I've only heard descriptions of the SLP y-pipe.
