AIR system

hey guys i just found out that my air pump siezed on my way back from the track this week...i was just wondering what the best solution to this problem would be...delete the AIR system or replace the AIR pump...by the way i have a carbed 350 and i have to pass emissions (thats not really too important though)...thanks,
dave

I'd say delete the AIR system. All you need is a new belt (PN 968K6) and plugs for the exhaust manifold. Belt should be $10-20 and plugs will be about $2-3. If you have a catalytic converter I wouldn't worry about emissions testing from just removing the AIR system (I can't personally vouch for this, though, as my state doesn't have emissions testing).
