Mufflers gone!! Pics inside

To the rs into exhaust pros today, had them delete my muffler with a y pipe. I was planning on leaving my "4th gen style" tips on but he made me an offer i couldnt refuse on a set of 3.5x22" slash cut tips. Came out great exhasut pros in aurora colorado will always get any of my exhaust business becasue as a welder i can say their work is second to none. THe car sounds awesome, i htought that ravin muffler had soem tone but dayum. This new setup turns heads thats for sure.

Car also seems to run alot smoother. Could that be where now some of the back pressure is gone. It was idling fairly rough going over there but is smooth as hell now.

Now i'm running a high flow cat, 3" pipe, no muffler and 2 3.5x22" slash cut tips. Planning on doing headers and y pipe next year.

The "Y" essentially a slp loud mouth.

i guess you'd call it more of a "t" than a y

The tips. My first car had tips liek this so theres like a place in my heart for them. Plus they dont stand out so much in the back like the others did but from the side they look sweet

No muffler sounds REAL horrible in my opinion. As I've said a million times: Make a car loud and good sounding by adding horsepower, not subtracting exhaust.

But, if it makes you happy and you dont get tickets thats all that matters. I feel sorry for you neighbors though.

It actually sounds real good i think its becasue it is still going through all the piping and cat sounds like the slp loud mouth does, i dont feel sorry for our neighbors though. None of them speak english and have been whining about our cars from the day they moved in. My parents have lived here for like 25 years or something liek that and the last time they called the cops when my dad fired up the elcamino the cop said hey they had loud when you moved in, i do liek setting the car alarms off! That makes me happy

muffer has no effect on emissions...my truck passed with flyin colors......y-pipe after cat no muffler.........but on ur t pipe set up...is urs still deep or just stright loud????my truck is more loud and gets raspy at high rpms...but i was thinkin about puttin a cut out on but wasnt sure if i woudl still have the awsome deep rumble or if i would lose it......so im just keepin stock and customizin a new y-pipe and addin a high flow

No mufflers always sounds bad to me, its like a nasty echoed sound. Not to rain on your parade, whatever floats your boat. IMO, lose the tips, these cars look so much better without them, besides a turn down has a much better sound to it .

I think the tips look really good, you have them tucked up nice and close, and they are the perfect size... but I can't say the same for the design of the exhaust. It looks like it won't flow too good IMO

Christos i had run over to envirotech the other day and they sadi muffler is no problem unless the police get you for being to loud. They said they can fail the car for havign a cut out anywhere in the system and i want all my sound out the back anyway not the front.

88gtabandit, it is loud and deep and i think its casued by the t flow thing. Low end it is extremely loud and deep and i finally got it out today and layed into it and it is real deep high rpm too. It sounds liek a small block camaro shoudl is how i'd put it its not raspy or annoying it does sound fairly clean. YOu can literally feel it in your heart when you step on it.

As for the tips i wasnt so sure about them at first but liek i said my firebird had the big chromers on them and i jsut have a place for them still. IF you look straight down you cant see them sticking out any and reall from drivign behind it you cant really see them, it kinda gives it the whole hear it and wonder where its comign from effect. YOu really dont even see a whole lot from the side becasue the skirt hides it. It makes me very happy though!! YOu definately find out which cars in the lot have alarms and i made some little girl down the street cry so i'm content for now! I'm apretty sick man

It isnt a "T" on the inside i was threre when they were making up the y and asked about it he said it wouldnt flow even to each tips with a y or even the plain t design there are two really small baffles i guess you would call it that essentially direct the flow to side to side.. These guys do crazy work and make it look totally simple which is cool its basically like a directional "angle piece inside i cant computer draw it though
