slower with longtubes?

will i get any slower with long tubes?i have headman shorties right now but i put my hotchkis sfc on and i had to dent the carp out of my y-pipe and now it dont line up right so i have a huge exhaust leak.so instead of putting more $$$$ into that exhaust i figure why not get hooker longtubes with the mufflex y-pipe since i will be building either a 383 or 406 for next summer.

I had the heddman shorties and y pipe on my car when i bought it. worked good for the 350 that was in it . Now I have my 500hp 383 in it and the shorties and y pipe made it feel like a dog. I put Supercomps and mufflex y on and power is much better.
