can this be done? what my options?

Sup everyone?…I need some info on what my options are now. Heres the deal I got a full 3” exhaust with headers ,no cat/stratepipe and a flowmaster muffler (check out sig or site for more info). I luv the way it sounds but im sick of it being loud 24/7. I know I can shut it up if I put on quiet muffler and good cat, then just install a cutout. Problem with that is my exhaust is almost new and I don’t have money to waste, so I have to find another way were I can keep my setup. I know there are these things(4get name) that can shut up my exhaust (its basically a silencer) Is there one i can install that will make my exhaust quiet? Were and what do I get??

A cat will be about the only thing that will drastically quiet down your exhaust without robing power. Do not use those scilencer things. They are meant for all out drag cars that run in sound restricted areas. When placed in an I pipe they reduce power.

You could always try these things. I'm not too sure on how well they work though, but it's may be worth a try.

Replace just the muffler with a magnaflow, aerochamber, or ultraflow

A 3" Dynomax Bullet where the cat used to be would help quiet it some without hurting performance at all. Not sure how much it would quiet it, as I've never tried it.
