Question about Cut Outs

I got a cut out installed last year and now want to install a Mccord Power Plate on it, to open it up when ever i feel the need to be loud and obnoxious. I took a look at the space i have around the cut out and the frame rail is too close and wouldn't allow for the power plate to be mounted. Where have you guys mounted your cut outs?
Here is where mine is currently

It's hard to tell in the picture but it's installed right after the bend in the y-pipe and infront of the cat aiming towards the center of the car. The only other area i could think of installing it at that gives adequate room for the e-cut out is where the cat is. I don't know if a shop would be willing to make me a straight pipe with a cut out in it though. Any thoughts?

Mine is about a foot back from the rear axle. And there is a plug underneath the rear passenger side seat that I ran the wires through so it all worked out perfect. I had it right where you do now, but there was no way to get Power Plate to fit right, and I had the cutout on for 2 weeks and scraped it more times than I wanted.

I wanted it before the cat and that was the best place to put it. I've scraped it so much over the past few months that it's ground flat on the side facing the bottom. I just ordered a new cat back today and will be getting the cut out moved next week. I'll try and get an exhaust shop make me a off road pipe to replace the cat with the cut out welded in there, if the power plate would fit in that location, if not i guess i'll have to put it in the I-pipe.

Do most people put their cut out's in the I-pipe?

I had mine installed in the "I" Pipe under the rear passenger seat. I had both of my cats cut out..so..it didn't really matter where I wanted it to be located.
