How to True Dual

Hey all,

I know alot of peeps on this site are running true dual exhaust setups. I was told that the only problem wth this is ground clearance. I was wondering, how are you guys running the duals. Does anyone have a pic of the setup from underneath the car. Any snapshops of the setup whle the car was still up in the air? I am gonna get the true duals done when the GM Goodwrench 350 H.O. goes in to maximize the airflow however I wouldn't mind a reference to show my mechanic.

I'll throw up a couple, with my new set-up I'm yet to scrap anything-except my trailer when I'm unloading it Soo much better than the first exhaust set-up a cobble job shop installed a few years ago!

I have hedman longtube headers going in w/ my 350HO soon, can i just shoot 2 1/4 straight pipe from the headers down the underbody?

I bought the 4ft piping from summit.

will it clear the underbody alright?

Everything in your picture looks like it will, but i figured i'd feel better coming from word of mouth

For a 350HO, how much hp is the motor supposed to put out with the parts they recommend? If it's pushing the 350hp range, I would recommend 2.5" pipes since tha'ts what my old motor was making for hp and running high 12' through the pipes.

The heddman collectors are a little higher than these hooker super comp collectors so the tranny cross memeber will actually be in about the center of the collector outlets-if that makes sense.
There is'nt much room right off the collectors and you will probably have to dent the top of the exhaust to get a snug fit next to the front sub frame and tranny cross member.

Even with my hookers in the above pic and the tranny cross member I made to maximize space, I still had to beat on the 3" pipes for clearance.

Just one of these things, it's hard to say exactly until you physically start fitting/mocking up parts and see how you come out.
