engine bog down. lost 1 sec on et. Help!

Heres the story. You figure it out please

I need help! I took my car down to the track a while ago for the first time. I was spinning the tires so much on take off i was running 2.5 first 60 ft. with a .800 reaction time with .500 a perfect, then I would spin the tires into all the gears going down the track. Not a little chirp. A big spin out. (I have a standard). And I was pulling 14.2's on my stock maro. (Except for the flowmaster exhaust, posi rear end, and K&N cold air). We figured I wasnt catching traction because I couldnt do a good burn out at the beginning because of my standard.

Take the car home. Installed my hooker super comp shorty headers. Figured oiut how to do a break stand so I could do a good burn out and catch traction. Now with the headers on. And if I catch traction. I should easily run into the 13's.

Take car down to the track. Get up to the line. Do a sick, long burn out doing a break stand. Pull up to the tree. Light goes green I take offcar peels out only for a chirp then hooks! Right after the tree right after it hooks the car bogs down. Like if you in 4th gear and yoru spose to be in 2nd kinda thing. Bogs down for a second then starts to pick up speed!! I was running consistand .700 reaction times and wasnt spinning the tires into the gears. sso thats how much bog down I got. I cross the finish line running a 15.3 e.t I ran 15.3's all night with one 15.1. It kept boggin down after the tires chirped and passed the tree.

It didnt do this before but I figured it could have been because of the long burn out and the rpm's were up really high by the time i picked up some speed and started going. Also there is a thumping when I pop the clutch at the start to take off. Pleas help any way you can. I lost too much on my times.:hail:

could it be exhaust or emissions?

There are quite a few TGO members with LT1s.

Whether it's exhaust related - probably not. Unless you messed something else up putting in the headers.
