hooker 2460 question

hooker 2460 question

my question is....i can get these headers new from my work for 100 dollars....but they dont come with a y pipe....i was lookin on the internet...Mac makes a y pipe that replaces the stock thats 2 1/2...my manager said that it should fit up the the hooker headers...anyone know bout this one

where can i get a y pipe for these headers...im tryin to stay under 300 for headers and y pipe

It has to be custom fabricated.

Unless you can get a sweetheart deal with an exhaust shop, good luck keeping it under $300. It's very common to hear reports of hack-jobs that still cost more than $200.

By the way, one of the big restrictions in your exhaust is the TBI cat. The best way to go about fixing all this is to get '86-'90 TPI single-cat application headers and cat. See what you can do through your work discounts for Hooker 2055 headers and a cat for the above application. It'll probably be more than $300, but going any other route is either going to be disappointing performance-wise, or more expensive.

Yeah like it was said, just go get it made up for you. I got mine locally for $80 mendral bent piping. Looks good and is welded great. Thank You Ernies Muffler and Brakes!!! lol.
