Hello, I have a completely stock 1988 Pontiac Trans Am GTA, 305 TPI with automatic transmission. I'm doing a BIG tune up right now, just wanted to know what is a good muffler for my setup? The one I have is still good, but it is from NAPA and I can't hear the real sound of my V8. I think my V6 bird made more sound than my 305 TPI. What would be the best muffler for me? I want one that will have a great sound at every RPM and that will give better performance than the original or OEM replacement ones. Thanks a lot!

your going to get about 1000 opinions on this subject... if all you want is a better sound quality, i personally, would choose a flowmaster 80 series. Have one on my 305 TBI and i absolutely love it. Its more restrictive than other brands, but since your engines stock your not pushing enough power for it to matter.

BTW, if you enjoy driving through a parking lot or a parking garage setting off car alarms, the 80 series is definitely for you...
